In 2000, Eurotecnica decided to take on the challenge of bi-material molding, and over the years we have added seven presses ranging in press force from 70 to 420 tons.
The main advantage of bi-material molding is that two different materials (e.g. a flexible seal integrated with a rigid part) and/or materials of different hardness can be joined together, either chemically, mechanically, or by way of undercuts so that the two materials cannot be taken apart.
Using this technology, we are also able to produce parts using the same material but in different colors.
